Five Willow Tai Chi Association of Seattle is a non profit organization created to promote the study of Tai Chi Chuan and related oriental philosophy.  Five Willow Tai Chi Association sponsored the late Master Tao Ping-Siang who taught classes and workshops each year for 26 years in Seattle., Our organization is made up of  his students, their students and anyone else interested in practicing Master Tao’s unique form of Tai Chi emphasizing the yielding side of Tai Chi and Water Style where softness overcomes hardness.

The mainstay of Five Willow is our weekly Saturday Morning practice, ongoing now for more than 30 years.

Summer Saturday Practice in Volunteer Park, Seattle  Starts April 21st

Five Willows Saturday practice in the Summer is in Volunteer Park on Capital Hill.  Park entrances are at 15th Ave E and E Galer St, as well as 14th Ave E and E Prospect St.  We will be in the field north of the Seattle Asian Art Museum.  Personal warm up starts at 8am with the Simplified Form at 8:15.  If it rains, we will be under the trees next to the parking.

All levels are welcome.

Second Saturday Push Hands Practice

Five Willow is sponsoring an open Push Hands practice on the second Saturday of each month for one hour.  This practice is open to all levels that want to learn and practice Master Tao’s style of soft Push Hands.  This is an excellent opportunity also for Tai Chi practitioners with no experience.  On April 14th, we will be meeting at 1pm in the lower building of Phinney Neighborhood Center (6532 Phinney Ave N) in room 35.  This room does not allow street shoes, so bring your indoors Tai Chi shoes, slippers or a good pair of socks.  Starting in May, we will meet in Volunteer Park at noon.
